Following the rapid spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in recent months, the team at Ward Hadaway recognised the need to support the business community with help and information to aid them during the crisis. They approached with this idea and the concept to design and build an easy-to-use, ‘go-to’ content hub that would help respond not only to their clients’ concerns but also offer vital information to the wider business community.

Many will know we have worked with the company since 2013, delivering a range of creative and digital services. Our collaboration has often showcased the services Cargo offers and Ward Hadaway has benefitted from the full range. This relationship has been more important than ever in the last few weeks as we have entered the Covid-19 crisis and supported each other throughout.

Our teams have worked closely – yet remotely – to scope, design, build and launch this platform over the last 10 working days.

Content and UX were at the heart of this project from the outset. The aim was to ensure that users who landed on the portal could easily browse either popular FAQs, or FAQs that were specific to their own business or needs, therefore a clear user journey was established and implemented.

In addition to simple FAQs, we also looked to accommodate video and also audio / webinars within the pages, knowing that the information required to be shared was going to scale fast, as users could also submit their own FAQs to be featured.

There was another pressure. Time. Given the rate at which information was changing, it was essential that not only was the platform needed urgently, but once live, administrators needed to be able to easily update and add content easily, so again, this requirement was also taken into account when customising the CMS.

The platform received a great deal of positive reviews straight away after launch, and we have continued to work with the team at Ward Hadaway to add additional functionality, update the site to aid organic searches and also content to promote the platform across social.

Brilliant work in extreme circumstances pulling this together in record time – we are really, really pleased. I am so grateful to you all, maintaining your humour, patience and creativity to deliver a site which is more than we could have hoped for.
