Brand, Marketing and Digital delivery for an industry leading plastic injection moulding group, working on a global scale


We’ve worked with the team over at Omega Plastics for over 5 years now - initially supporting them with an existing site, before launching their previous web offering in 2012, alongside a range of printed and branded materials.

In early 2016, Omega merged with Washington-based high volume, plastic injection moulding company Signal Plastics. With this agreed, Omega Plastics Group was formed, and the requirement for a group level brand identity, and brand application to Signal was presented. 


Internal and external delivery

We worked with the internal marketing team and company directors to establish a clear brand strategy for the Group. By reviewing touch points throughout each company, both internal and external, we developed a cohesive approach to ensure that the direction taken by the Group was clearly communicated to all staff internally, and that all stakeholders had a clear understanding of the Group hierarchy. We reviewed signage and sales materials, to again ensure that upon visiting either one of the three facilities in Blyth, Washington or Hartlepool, clients were greeted with a consistent approach each and every time.

Once established, we then looked to roll out the brand across a new digital home for Omega Plastics. Historically the site had always struggled to properly explain exactly what the product and service offering was, and following several rounds of consultation we developed an illustrative approach that depicts each service throughout the site.

It was important that as with the physical locations mentioned above, the navigation and signposting online was clear, offering users an easy to follow journey and more importantly visible call to actions that would be used to increase conversions and also enable users to travel through and experience as much content as possible.


So, what difference does a re-brand and re-design / development make?

Last year, the website answered for 71% of company sales leads, and it looks like this will continue.

Latest figures show that between April and August 2017 enquiries submitted to the site have increased by 52% against the same time last year.
In addition to this, the website is currently converting at an astonishing 26% from enquiries to quotes supplied.

Furthermore a few months after we launched the site - and we aren’t taking any credit for this at all - Omega Plastics were crowned Company of the Year at the North East Business Awards 2017. A great achievement for all involved, and a huge congratulations from us all here at Cargo

We are really looking forward to continuing to work with Omega in the coming months as they look to increase their community engagement and CSR programme, however that is all we can say about that for the moment. Watch this space for updates of the amazing plans they have.
