Brand development and multi-national website design and development for Access BDD

Overview

Having worked with the team at ThyssenKrupp to deliver the Ideal Stairlifts website, we were happy to be tasked with the development of a dealer website / platform for Access BDD.

This site would deliver not only public facing information about the products available, but also a range of downloadable documents and brochures for print, and updates to key information - all in the individual languages for that country. Users can download technical documents directly and place an order for specific print only brochures to be sent out.

Whilst Ideal Stairlifts is very much about conversion and making enquiries online a simple and straightforward process, this was about giving the team based at Stockton in the UK, the ability to share information with their dealers on an international level.


Delivery

Previously, the Access site was built around a dated identity that had been produced in-house. Whilst there was no requirement for a full re-brand at this stage, we created a cleaner, more straightforward identity and marque for the team at Access to use moving forward.

To accompany this, we delivered a simple set of guidelines so that when using the brand in-house, across other documentation and channels, they would be able to maintain a professional, corporate look and feel.

Application of this to the site resulted in a minimalist environment, focussing on the content and encouraging dealers to log-in and therefore access the information they required. This consists of a range of downloadable documents and brochures for print, and updates to key information - all in the individual languages for that country.

We developed the platform across countries - providing the 'skeleton' of this to the individual admin staff for each language. Once logged in, admin staff then progressed to populate all relevant content and data for each country in the correct language, and upload the relevant documents via an easy-to-use CMS.

Outcome

Both the site and dealer platform have been received well across Europe.

There was no real measurement of success in terms of data for this project other than the visual of a revised brand aesthetic, and approval from the admin staff of improved ease of functionality. The platform is being used regularly across Europe, and the volume of this is increasing month on month.
