We are looking for a technically minded Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Optimisation Specialist. We have a varied client portfolio and deliver work for a range of sectors including financial, legal, health and fitness, beauty, charity and entertainment.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the search engine landscape, with the ability to develop and implement effective campaigns, as well as drive link-building initiatives to improve organic search rankings.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored SEM strategies to achieve their goals and drive results
  2. Plan, execute and monitor SEM campaigns across various search engines and platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.)
  3. Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant search terms and opportunities for optimisation
  4. Optimise ad copy and landing pages for maximum click-through and conversion rates
  5. Develop link-building strategies and tactics to increase the number of high-quality links pointing to our website
  6. Build relationships with relevant publishers, bloggers, and other webmasters to secure backlinks
  7. Perform link audits and analysis to identify and resolve potential issues with client link profiles
  8. Conduct regular audits of our website to identify technical issues that may affect search engine rankings
  9. Develop and implement strategies for optimising website structure, page speed, and other technical aspects of SEO
  10. Work with developers to ensure that website code is optimised for search engines and that best practices are followed
  11. Monitor website performance metrics and use data to make data-driven decisions
  12. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in technical SEO and search engine algorithms
  13. Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to integrate multi-disciplinary initiatives with other marketing channels (e.g. social media, content marketing, etc.)

 

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Experience in SEM, SEO and link building
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Moz, SEMrush, and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies is a plus
  • Google Ads and Bing Ads, certification is a plus
